Our Story

Kiwi Tape Measurers was founded the moment a guest on a certain task-based, master-led television programme suggested the show ought to support local New Zealand businesses when buying tape measures. The assistant, a man named Paul, replied — quite reasonably, we think — that he'd already bought his on kiwitapemeasurers.co.nz. This is that website. It did not exist at the time. It exists now. We are retroactively very proud of this.

Jeremy, the show's host, has not commented on the matter, which we are choosing to interpret as a full and enthusiastic endorsement.

Our Mission

To sell New Zealanders tape measures that are, technically, described on a website. Whether any of them actually exist as physical objects is a question for the philosophers, or possibly the fulfilment department, which also does not exist.

Locally Sourced, Allegedly

Every tape measure in our fictional catalogue is fictionally manufactured right here in fictional Aotearoa New Zealand, using fictional materials, by fictionally hardworking fictional Kiwis.
